I don’t like Activision as much as the next Lemmy user, but let’s not kid ourselves. CoD still sells a shitload every year somehow.

Some developers are kinda bad with balancing though, there are definitely instances where I lowered the difficulty and just went through the game.
Dome Keeper
Reminds me of Bravely Default, Bravely Second, Bravely default 2
Sekiro. This is my fourth time starting this game and this is the most it has clicked with me. Also playing Potionomics to balance it out.
To be clear, that’s exactly what I mean. I use Firefox, but I find the edge vs chrome debate amusing.
It blows my mind how many people use chrome over edge thinking that they are making super smart choice. I feel like I was still seeing memes on reddit making fun of Edge over Chrome.
Yep, saw a car get t-boned 2 years ago. I take a second to make sure that no car is trying to beat the red light before I move.
It makes me sad that people like him get get enough views and money to live off of
I wish. I have noticed that I don’t see many Lenny endorsements anymore, I wonder if they remove those (I know my comment has been removed couple of times).
I never pre-order, and I am not advocating for pre-ordering, but just curious, can’t the item just be returned if the customer is not satisfied?
Looking at your use case, I would go with Asus. You would already have a decent library because of some Xbox Play Anywhere titles, plus there is also gamepass.
I’m not too worried about that, Elden Ring was a February game.
Season 1 of Westworld. It’s okay to have an ambiguous ending, you can leave it to viewer’s imagination. That show went downhill with every season because it was trying too hard to be smart.
But that type of fun is something I can get from many other games, making borderlands way less desirable if it’s $80. On the other hand if larian says that their next game is $80, I already know that I won’t find that type of experience anywhere else and I might just splurge.
Wake me up when indies are hitting the fan too, as it stands I don’t have any shortage of new amazing indie games to play. Not to mention, my backlog barely gets a dent in it even if I manage to finish like 2-3 games a month.
You can only kiss your lips in the mirror
I’m sorry, but that’s a terrible analogy. In the gaming scenario, Ubisoft is collecting the data on their own product usage, your hairdresser analogy is going outside of the service that the hairdresser is providing.
I would argue that Reddit has a lot more younger angsty teenage crowd, that’s why those types of comments are pretty common there. Lemmy at the moment doesn’t have that problem because I bet our demographic leans more towards late 20s and 30s.
