Was watching a YouTuber play Week One, and he was two floors down in a basement. A plane crashed into the building and all his stuff burned anyway. Then the nukes dropped. Total madness.

I hate it. If I interact with a system in anything more than a very sporadic way, I end up with multiple objects on screen that all say “created just now” which is completely unhelpful.

Luckily most systems can re-enable actual time again (even if it is buried in a settings menu) so I can see what’s actually happening.

I grew up in Gosport and enjoy the looks I get when describing that we needed to get a ferry across the harbour if we wanted to go to a club like Walkabout. I hear the overnight ferry stopped running so you’re screwed trying to get home late now.

I nearly stepped on one the other day. They only really come out at night, and I was walking home across a dark park. You don’t see them very often, I think I’ve seen maybe 3-4 in my life.

Other wild animals like squirrels are super common. I’ve also seen plenty of foxes and sometimes badgers.

No arguing for clarity, and knowing the difference between your own opinion and speaking for a group of people you know nothing about.

If you were answering from your own personal perspective, no I wouldn’t ask for citations. But you pretty specifically answered on behalf of more than 50% of people, so I was wondering where you pulled that fact from.

In the UK we have the electoral boundary commission specifically to avoid this sort of thing. Do you have an example of it being a problem in the UK?

It affects far more than just the building you’re in when you do that. You’re ruining the pipes for the whole town.

Is YouTube free? Is it ignoring the usage agreements of those sources if it’s stripping out adverts?

Pay attention. Significantly more cars can make it through the lights per “green” if everyone moves as soon as they can. You’re creating extra stationery traffic for everyone.

I found succession easier to watch from the second season onwards. Something about season 1 made me very uncomfortable, I’m not sure if it’s the program that changed after that, or maybe I got used to the style of it.

Guessing it could be venomous sounds pretty reasonable. Being locked in an enclosed space with an unknown Australian snake? No thanks.
