World News@lemmy.world•Massive Attack Banned from Singapore After Displaying Palestine Flag OnstageEnglish
3·6 days agoSingapore recognized the Palestine nation?! /S
imho it’s #1 because of all the characters, if you combine the depth of each it can surpass TNG easily…
to me, the tie is between 2nd and 3rd place: tng vs. voyager
4th mmm lower decks?
( And 5th is Babylon /s … Hehe. Then 6th red dwarf )
Many people would feel good about helping out. Keep that in mind. I try to think about it when offered help. Else I was always saying no, and it turns out it may also be a trauma response. My braing being used to doing things myself, not wanting to feel dependant, or -as it was said- bothering others (I am a people pleaser)
DenuvOwO got your back if I am not mistaken
Yes. But be aware of love bombing too. Good luck and enjoy the romance :)

Piracy: ꜱᴀɪʟ ᴛʜᴇ ʜɪɢʜ ꜱᴇᴀꜱ@lemmy.dbzer0.com•Fuck FIFA, where can I watch live games without giving them any money?English
2·2 months agoI go for latin american transmissions, in my mother tongue. Just search at DDG “futbol libre” and go with the first domain on the list. Always works.
Perhaps Tengu is left so that it can be part of an extension when everything else is properly set

Self Hosted - Self-hosting your services.@lemmy.ml•FitMyLLM — Independent benchmarks for self-hosted AI
2·2 months agoI am regretting having done so much crossposts. It was an impulse, not being sure where to post… I was also interested on seeing what was the take from fellow lemmings. And it’s been enriching to me in that regard. I wonder how much were people really self hosting LLMs… Apparently not that much.

Uplifting News@lemmy.world•Cancer jab can eradicate entire tumours in patients, trial showsEnglish
31·2 months agoJust checked the wikipedia page. This compound is only specific for certain types of tumors (epidermal growth factor receptor, EGFR, exon 20 insertion mutations.)
I was afraid this could be all fake. But not, is just clickbaity reporting.

Technology@lemmy.world•Telegram is lying to you about privacyEnglish
1·2 months agoEver since the CEO of Telegram was basically lured to Paris, arrested, then read the riot act for Telegram’s non-cooperation with French authorities, the company has been responding to warrants and downplaying its “E2EE” features. Expect them to have a fully accessible backdoor for LE.
What does LE stands for?
Also, do you have any sources to your claims?
Just the other day, I wondered myself: what happened after that detention in Paris? I haven’t read anything else. Is he in prison or free?? No idea! Is there an ongoing trial? What were the accusations?

Technology@lemmy.world•Pope urges 'disarming' of AI in major manifestoEnglish
61·3 months agoI am sorry you had gone through that experience. The only church that illuminates at all is the one we can set on fire :')
PS. This thread can easily spin on another reiteration of the arguments around “separating the art from the artist”. That text on AI may have a certain sympathy to some… I haven’t read it. After this post, I thought “maybe I should?”. Thanks to your comment I got centered back in my perspective: “nah. the pope can say whatever he wants to. I won’t be his supporter nor audience.”
idk about Italians idiosyncracy but in my country we would use the N word for both racial slurs and shows of affection. It would depend on context mainly.

Passional crimes are back!

I would also normalize against their frequency. Because if a tech is not used that often for being considered dangerous then of course it can show a low absolute number of deaths.
But then again is a no brainer to tell that this kind of comparison is ill intended from the get go.
The trope defending nuclear energy has always been “too loud” for my “taste”. It’s like mainstream politics, missing the point of why something is actually good and then spouting cherry-picking “facts” but indeed doing propaganda nonetheless.
