I think that woman doesn’t know who everybody is. It’s awkward when people don’t think about the words they’re saying.

This is simpler than you think. AI is a bubble. It is a giant bubble.
Many people, including many government workers, are getting rich right now by riding the bubble. They and their funders have zero interest in worrying about what will happen when it bursts.
(Also, AI is vaporware. It can’t replace workers in huge numbers. So nobody serious is actually worried about that… Of course there are some occupations that have shifted, but far fewer than you would expect.)
I don’t know about it being an average Democrat. There really aren’t that many average Democrats that I know of. Not anymore.

I don’t think you can get personal liability for the principal and there’s no way that the kitchen worker could pay a million dollars. So basically the school district is going to be footing the bill.
It would be interesting to see if any criminal charges could go to the kitchen worker. Accidentally poisoning people is a pretty terrible thing to do. Of course it depends on the precise wording of state law.

This is not news. The president has lost his mind, we all know it, and reporting on one of his rants on its own is almost never newsworthy.

This is a title that’s factually true, but in reality highly deceptive. The AI companies are riding bubbles and the prices they decide don’t reflect the actual cost of anything. That’s what a bubble is. So the title should read that the AI companies are gouging some of their customers because they can.

I think it’s simpler than that. I think the AI snake oil sales people realized that corporate executives want to give themselves bonuses. And if you propose this magical technology, that’s going to change everything, they can pretend for several years but it’s actually going to change everything, and pay themselves a lot of money in the meantime.
It’s greedy people relying on other greedy people so that some of them can get richer.
Sure, and now you know that those days gave you an excuse not to do shit to make things better.

Why should the argument source matter? Because the whole point of social media is for people to communicate with other people. We want to share ideas with each other.
If all you can do is copy/paste, you’re a failure. If you were in school, you’d fail for plagiarism. You’re wasting electricity and wasting our time. Sorry.
Or, if all you want to do is share someone else’s idea, just put a URL to the place where they said it. Don’t pretend it’s your contribution when it’s not.

Fuck Trump’s shit talking. It’s not news. Him being a pedo is, though.

Right but that’s a pointless side discussion. English has fucked up grammar and spelling but it’s a major global language. Cope?

70% of the internet? No. The web? Yes, maybe. These are not the same thing.
Meet the new boss same as the old boss yeeeeeeaaaaaaahhh!!!

Also, maybe they can’t. Define the crime, please. Can’t pardon for “everything”, can you?

Haha that’s backwards. The states can ignore it, and that is the challenge. Don’t be dense.

This depends on the laws of the country in which you reside. Generally speaking, you shouldn’t sign something unless you know exactly what it says and you agree to it. If you don’t speak the local language then you could either get a translator or a lawyer or both.
But in some countries there are protections for people who don’t speak the local language well. For example, in Japan, there’s an expectation that employers, and especially larger employers, will make relevant paperwork available in the employee’s native language. And if they don’t do so, they can end up losing in court, and this has happened many times in the past.
Of course, even if you’re in a country where the law partly backs you, it’s still ideal to confirm things as best you possibly can. You don’t want to get screwed first, and then have to hire a lawyer and go to court. If that happens then that’s what you do, but if you have a better option up front, take it.

The sky is falling… Except it isn’t. Standard nonsense self advertising. And yes, vulnerabilities exist and canleasd to badness. We agree. It has always been so.
Compared to what? That’s the entire point, isn’t it?
