I’ve done it to play with my kids. We were all on the local network but it was like a ten second job.

2·3 days agoI’ll second this one. Herself and her husband travel to unusual homes around the world and interview the owners. Caves. Missile silos. Off grid wonders.

10·3 days agoMars Guy. He’s a geology lecturer who releases a new video every Sunday detailing what’s been happening with the rovers on Mars that week. Very chill and always good learning.
Highlight of my Sunday morning.

Schools and firehouses were funded long before property taxes existed. Property tax on “normal” homes is rent.

1·18 days agoOmg. Listen to yourself.
This is the last thing I’ll address because you’re being deliberately obtuse now and just parroting the same, dull, seemingly deliberately naive takes.
literally called “The Republic of China”
That’s ignoring the countries that recognise them. That nomenclature is from history. Same as the Irish claim on the North. If they called themselves the Republic of Taiwan, China would invade post haste. Like this is twelve year old child level obvious.
You’re bringing nothing to the discussion that you haven’t already said and the .uk suffix coupled with such apology for an obviously independent nation smells so bad of a bad actor that I’m out.

World News@lemmy.world•China fines Trip.com Group $992m over online hotel-booking monopolyEnglish
1·18 days agoIt’s not. Ireland claimed Northern Ireland, while the UK didn’t claim the Republic of Ireland.
No, but it claimed the North. You’re deliberately ignoring my point which is that the claims, both ways, are bluster.
So in your opinion, literally every country and Taiwan itself is China’s bitch.
More or less, yes. There are exceptions and hats off to them. I wish my country had the balls but selling some butter (which I’ve seen in supermarkets in China) is more important to them.
China will cut off ties if you don’t recognise the one China policy. Even the US accepts it for trade purposes, all while arming the shit out of Taiwan to defend itself from annexation and maintaining heavy ambiguity on whether they’ll defend Taiwan.
Nobody claims Taiwan is a country, Taiwan doesn’t even claim to he a country.
Provably false.
