They’ve been doing this stuff for over a hundred years now. Funnily enough back in WWII, they also sided with the Nazis and went out of their way to ignore or omit any mention of the holocaust. They continually like to be on the wrong side of history.
The NYT published nearly 1200 stories on the holocaust during WWII, it just was rarely on the front page. They should have emphasized it more, but that’s hardly “siding with the Nazis”. You are free to criticize them for not doing enough at the time but you could say the same thing about the world as a whole.
