Among the victims was Mariam Dagga, a freelancer for the Associated Press. Al Jazeera confirmed that its journalist Mohammed Salam was also killed in the strike. Reuters reported that its contractor cameraman Hussam al-Masri was killed, and photographer Hatem Khaled was wounded.
