Hey guys, so I’ve been working on a minimal, text-based Reddit alternative for the past few months, and I think it’s coming along nicely.

I’m calling it Nooki (name might change in the future). For now, it’s text-only posts. This could change if it takes off and people want to share images or other media.

It has most of the basic features of Reddit, and I’d love to get your feedback on the UI and any features you’d like to see added.

A bit late to the party, @lowguest96@hilariouschaos.com, but about implementing federation protocols, Minds and Bridgy Fed both apparently include dual protocol integration (ActivityPub / Nostr and ActivityPub / AT Protocol respectively), so maybe worth having them in mind as examples if integration does happen?

Or at least some form of RSS feeds? Dunno how it is with others, but talking for me, something that bothers me is how slow opening a bunch of sites to check a few stuff can be, which gradually leads to smaller/less relevant sites be ignored even if they are useful, and RSS allows to have all in one place (also allows me to see how much stuff I actually follow).
