Fort Henry Historical Site

On the banks of the St Lawrence river lies Fort Henry, built by the British for the War of 1812 due to its strategic location. It has been restored and houses tours, with a large amount of people re-enacting the various lives one might be expected to see during the era. Views of modern day Kingston.

A Multi-family Soldier’s quarters. Multi-family rooms that would have their areas sectioned off by the hanging curtains. A soldier’s wife may be seen sewing on one of the beds, untroubled by the time travelers speaking as if she weren’t there.

Kingston is such a nice city too with a very nice, mostly preserved downtown and somehow a better music scene than Ottawa (from what I’ve heard at least). It was also very close to being the capital of Canada but Bytown (now Ottawa) was chosen instead
