I hear what you’re saying and agree. Counterpoint: I already have 2 × 7-shot .50 cal revolvers. That’s 14 guaranteed non-jammed shots. I also use hollow point bullets. I don’t have to be accurate. I can hit your hand, and you are not just losing the hand and a chunk of your wrist, the impact is going to knock you off your feet. Admittedly, I’m a veteran, and have just a bit more training than your average civvy
Yeah I don’t think anyone is doing much after a .50 cal, holy shit haha. I’d feel uncomfortable as hell with that thing. I’m spoiled on the g19, it’s such a smooth shooter. I was trying out my cousin’s .38 and wasn’t a fan, albeit it’s a small one and my hands a bit big for it so a bigger handle and barrel would probably feel much nicer. That fucker felt like it was punching me in the hand after every shot though
I’m not gonna disagree with someone with a .50 calibre anything because I know one shot is going to end me regardless of what it hits.
I could probably handle shooting .50, but I like to type and I feel like my wrists will be sore for a couple days after a day at the range with something like that, plus I don’t even wanna know what each of those rounds cost.
I have hollow points in my 9 as well, but only in the magazine that came with it. My other mags are third party, and the bottom sticks out a bit. It’s not pretty, but it loads all the rounds perfectly fine, it’s just not pretty. I only use those for training rounds, though I’ve got 33 hollow points still in the box, I could load all three with hollow points and fill the third mag with one training round at the bottom, if it’s my last shot it’ll still do something. (I mean my training rounds are still bullets, they’re just the cheap low-grain shit you buy on sale for shooting at paper.)
