    • Reefer Madness
    • You’ll turn gay after one joint
    • They’re spraying the weed with rat poison
    • It’ll make you scromit
    • Your skin will melt off

These are all 100% exactly the same, in that they’re all propaganda

CHS is a real thing, just not as portrayed by the OP. And the US government absolutely sprayed fuckloads of weed with paraquat back in the day, we have declassified files about it, there were hospitalizations, lifelong issues like Parkinson’s and even deaths from it.

Reefer is many times more potent than it was back in Cheech and Chong days. I can see where there would be more side effects.

People have been extracting and concentrating cannanaboids for a long time. If there were more serious side effects from strong weed we’d know.

CHS is 100% a real thing, my wife has it. If she smokes more than a bowl a week, she will scromit. She developed CHS about 18 months after she first started smoking with me. I’ve been smoking for about 40 years, and I’ve never developed CHS. We’re not sure exactly why some people get it and some people don’t, but it is a real phenomenon that can happen to some cannabis users.

I’m pro-weed, pro-legalization, and generally in favor of personal freedom. But pot is not for everyone. It makes my wife incredibly sick. My (adult) daughter gets panic attacks from smoking pot, so she abstains.

I get what you’re trying to say. But the image OP displayed is actually propaganda. I get the feeling a lot of people don’t know what propaganda means and think it’s only something a government does to make you a gungho patriot.

If the argument, info, message, whatever form of communication being delivered to you, is designed to appeal to your emotions, or sway your opinion, even if it contains some mote of truth, it’s propaganda. Smokey the Bear is propaganda. To guilt you into not starting forest fires. It’s for a decent cause, but it’s no less a mascot designed to alter the behaviour of the populace.

A bit of a low bar, as this comment itself is Propoganda… And I agree, everything is and should be treated like propoganda.

Smoking also produces a host of other chemicals, and like tobacco, plenty of harmful ones. It may not be a cannabinoid issue, rather a reaction with some combustion byproduct.

I’m not a doctor, so feel free to disregard any of that :)

I’m sure there’s some clinical documentation of all of this reefer induced disease then?

Surely your ER has to keep records and there’s something… Any kind of clinical evidence that marijuana causes this?

We’ve spent billions and billions and billions of dollars over decades and shredded civil liberties on the so far unevidence claims of marijuana’s danger, if you have actual evidence you have an obligation to come forward with it and present it for scientific review!
