Isn’t that kind of the key part here? There were a lot of reductions for sure, I’m not knocking any work they did, but it sounds like a major chunk of this was just the state giving them money.
Countdown to Fox News screaming about greater NY farmers paying for “lazy socialist unemployment single mothers” you can bet on it. :/
Before, New York City was highly subsidizing the rest of the state, paying proportionally more and receiving less. So this is balancing more the way it should be.
That would make sense, glad to see it happening!
