“Life’s a B and then you D” but literally like that so it rhymes and sounds silly rather than dire. Then my mind wanders to try making a new line to rhyme. Whimsy rhyme time as temporary distraction.

I tend to write a lot, and I develop ways to say the same thing in multiple ways, which creates new pathways in your head to help the healing and reconditioning process. It’s similar to the effect of learning a new language has on neuroplasticity. I highly recommend investing a lot of consistent time in journaling in a freewriting style. Whatever pops to head, put down, and this has improved my skill in writing and giving myself therapy. You’ll cycle through similar thoughts and find new paths to take old thoughts by being mindful.

The beautiful* thing is: the day will end and begin again regardless of my opinion on the matter.
