    if you been in stem in the US, you would use metric. people get wierd when you say kg, instead of lbs, or m/KM instead of miles.

          I think it’s because they already use Kilo in the NATO phonetic alphabet. So Clicks won’t cause confusion when the audio over the comms isn’t clear.
