Something i’m always annoyed by no one talking about: What about smaller cars?
Just making the cars smaller is a really easy way to make them less shit in basically every single way, no matter what.
Normalize moped cars.
Unless they’re really small, like kei cars in Japan, and have different infrastructure to match, it doesn’t do much good. They still take up the same amount of space in traffic because that’s dominated by following distance rather than vehicle length, and they still take up the same amount of space at rest because all parking spaces are the same size.
you do realize there are other factors than just the physical size they occupy, right? Smaller cars means they’re lighter (less wear on roads, less fuel usage, less damage when they hit things) and have better visibility.
Yes, but the physical space they occupy is by far the most important one. It’s almost the entire reason we’re building our cities wrong.
