More competitors should create more downward pressure on what memory manufacturers can charge, but even with new entrants there still aren’t that many.
Sure, but unless there’s a surplus of supply they’ll sell their full capacity without doing that. I hope there is, though, or at least that demand for RAM chips will go down soon.
