I just cheked, you can literally search “minecraft free” on play store, and find countless minecraft clones there. Why wouldnt googel and microslopt take down this games?
They might not be worried about sloppy copycats. But Luanti is a solid, evolving, open source project and thus an actual threat.
IMO as the “open source revolution” continues, capital will continue to attack. That’s a major subtext to the “AI” grift too. Securitizing “IP” against “China”, etc. They would rather have a nuclear holocaust than lose their “IP” privilege to open source software.
