The official client is not the only way to access F-Droid apps, but now you’ll have less reason to seek out an alternative.
For me that reason is Shizuku. Droidify supports that and gives me what Fdroid cannot, one click frictionless app installation.
Until the day Fdroid can do that, I have no reason to go back.

Is that even possible on a device with a locked bootloader? Its always gonna ask for confirmation when installing a new app.

Yes it is. It uses the Debugging over TCP functionality to use adb. The adb shell is more powerful than the normal API and can install promptless.
You can have shizuku working without even plugging it into a PC
Out of curiosity, have you noticed any effect on battery life to have shizuku running all the time?
I’m only using it for canta right now and I enable debugging and shizuku when needed.
