        *Note: This is barely a funny, I legitimately have nowhere near enough knowledge on the topic, not even superficially. 14,000 words of Wikipedia article spanning 4 centuries? Just the Wikipedia article? Damn…

          The troubles are so complex that I doubt even most Irish people could give a coherent timeline of events. The whole thing is a complex multi-faceted historical clusterfuck.

            Am northern Irish (norn Irish), can confirm - it’s a huge cluster fuck and I don’t understand the nuances of it. All I know is that it’s ussins that are right and themmins that are wrong.

          Oddly enough, a lot of the terrorism was funded by ignorant “Irish” Americans, so it’s kinda ironic 😅
