Gimmick! 2 Launching on Multiple Platforms

Gimmick! 2 is all set to make its debut for gamers worldwide on September 5th, 2024. Initially launching for the Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam, the game promises thrilling adventures on these platforms before making its way across to PlayStation 5 (PS5), Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4 (PS4), and Xbox One in subsequent months.

Developed by Bitwave Games and published by Clear River Games, this sequel offers an exciting continuation of the original Gimmick! platformer from the early 1990s.

    Neat. The original was late enough into the NES lifecycle that I missed it altogether having moved to the flashier SNES by then – which seems like what happened with the game with most publishers outside of Japan.

    Looking at gameplay video of the original, they were clearly squeezing everything they could out of the NES for it. I’m going to have to check it out.

    I wonder how the sequel will be.

      Same, I never got to enjoy it as a kid.

      Makes me really happy to see Sunsoft giving love to their games. I didn’t even know they put out a new Ufouria this year.

        I put the original Uforia on my playlist when I was checking out Gimmick. Sunsoft sure made a lot of good but underrated titles.
