I’m from the northeast United States, my ex-wife would do the advent wreath. My family would do an advent calendar; we particularly loved the Lego ones.

How many pants could underpants pants if underpants could pants pants?

If I’m walking around a park, I may wear earphones. If I’m walking on sidewalks around the city, I’m way too paranoid. I like to be able to hear my surroundings. Case in point, I was crossing a street at a crosswalk with the walk signal active when I was nearly hit by a car; the driver was clearly distracted and ran the red light. The only reason I wasn’t hit was because I heard the car coming and I stopped in the middle of the crosswalk to avoid getting hit. If I had kept going at my pace, I for sure would have been hit.

R.E.M. does a cover of Leonard Cohen’s First We Take Manhattan that I recently discovered.

…I just got a Framework laptop a month or two ago, dag nabbit straight to fucking heck.

I saw someone recommend a Innioasis Y1 earlier today, I noted it as something I want to look at.

“Negative, I am a meat popsicle.”

The second Mistborn series by Brandon Sanderson gets close. It’s a setting where magic meets wild west tech, including guns, cars, and electricity.
I’ve heard that his next trilogy in the setting will have more of an 1980s tech level.
A couple of Sanderson’s short stories touch on space ships, computers, and magic.
EDIT: I didn’t answer the question. Yes, I think it can work. I’m also a huge fan of Brian McClellan’s Powder Mage books. This mixes musket level tech and industrialization with magic.
Yippee ki-yay, Mr. Falcon

Triple triad from Final Fantasy 8.

Look into Proton GE. It’s a custom Proton version, and a new version dropped yesterday with some fixes for Monster Hunter Wilds.
EDIT: I don’t play, but hopefully this will lead you in the right direction.

It’s missing Game Genie and Sonic and Knuckles cartridges

I’ll have to check out Magic Earth. My biggest fear switching from Google Maps was not having up to date road closures or accident reports.
I used to have the cartridge for King’s Knight way back. I could never get too far in it… It’s a game I forget about and then randomly remember from time to time, and barely anyone, if anyone, else I know has even heard of it

All of the Apple dongles I’ve tried on Android are considerably quieter than other dongles. It’s like they put a dampener on it. Otherwise it seems to be good quality

Probably Trump wanting to monetize it for himself. It is, unfortunately, an amazing photo

But the ladies begged, “Don’t you try to do it, please!”

Yup, I did that last year. I wrote a Linux ISO to my hard drive instead of a flash drive. It was interesting watching my desktop slowly fail. Thankfully I was preparing a switch to a different distro, so I had backed up what I needed.

G. I. Joe. It’s so bad at times that it’s good
I tell this to people and they simply do not understand. “What if you found something you like doing, then it’s not really work!” It’s still working. I will not enjoy it. I would rather have the freedom to choose what I’m doing at any particular time. People just cannot grasp that idea. But I also may not be explaining myself well, such is life.
