Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•You're given $20,000 USD (or the equivalent in your local currency) to spend, but anything still left by the end of the day you lose for good. What are you spending it on?
2·4 days agoDental work (fixed), pay off credit card & bills for that month, buy new clothes. Maybe get a new laptop frame.work & phone (like Pixel that can be flashed with Paranoid Android). Hair transplant if it can be done that same day.

41·4 days agoNumber of investors think you should be willing to invest in a machine that you probably don’t have money for to enrich them. They think you should buy games at $70 or something instead of wait for them to be $30 like on sale. Like I wait. Not all of us want to be in debt.

21·4 days agoI thought they originally started their first attempt with Alienware? They gave up. I’d have to see how their newer one is better.

Technology@lemmy.world•Adguard DNS: Our investigation into the suspicious pressure on Archive.todayEnglish
2·4 days agoPeople can just switch DNS easily, I am not sure what they’re thinking. It is hard to visit archive.today with certain VPN providers that use cloudflare. They do something to poison Cloudflare.
Maybe sites should focus on better paywall blocking if they don’t like it.

4·4 days agoMaybe stick to AM4 and processors for now that don’t have AI feature? I have AM4, it works perfect and I haven’t had to upgrade yet. I think there would be a way to disable all of the AI, like with app OOSU10 or tron. Second option would be to install Linux OS and use Wine for any Windows app and for anything buggy that wouldn’t work well, using a vm for it.
Speaking of, there’s VPNs or you could use PIHole to block Microsoft’s telemetry and AI ips.

I created a new account on a different VPN ip, and different email provider. I spoof the user agent on the new browser. This time, I just won’t post anything other than read or like and dislike. I’ll just focus on posting on other sites instead.
After spaz ruined it to make it go public and sell to our posts content to Google’s AI. I don’t think it’s any longer to use it. I’ll just use it as a feed. I don’t feel like posting, after all the time I invested in it. Only for them to ban me, for no reason and then to ignore me.
They’re literally disappointing.
