The protocol itself doesn’t support e2ee. How would an app change that?
Ok, thank you for clarifying, I get what you mean now. As I understand it you’re mad at players playing egotistically and treating others as NPCs. I would say that that is a more general social issue, that isn’t limited to gaming. Sadly, you’ll have to just deal with it.
Every example you just mentioned is a demonstration of “playing bad” in my book. What would you descibe as “playing bad”? Just aiming issues? Or reaction times? Surely that would be to reductive.
In before EU genocides all starlings because you can’t put backdoors in them to scan for CSAM.
Anyone smarter than me knows how much frozen russian assets are at EUs disposal?
Why are patents on clean energy developments allowed to begin with?
You live in a bubble my friend. Not everyone will move to tor. Not even close. Linux has reached 3% in the steam statistics recently. Remove the deck users and you’ll be lucky if it hits 1%. Of those 1% not even everyone will be able to give up the regular web. I’m sure there will be a surge in alternative browsing prorocols, but not enough to change the status quo.
Exactly. Same reaction I have with vids that try to push me to “watch to the end”.
Financial issues among the general populace due to consolidation of wealth > oligarchs create propaganda that brown people are to blame > uneducated masses vote for authoritarians with empty promises
It’s the same program human civilisation has know for millenia
That’s exactly what makes the proposed regulation so absurd. If you’re not completely tech illiterate, you’re gonna use whatever fork of your FOSS software of choice to keep communicating securely. This regulation is just a very obvious data grab for the whatsapp users that are too lazy to switch.

This. I’m on Nobara on my main rig because I didn’t know any better when I ditched Windows. It’s a decent distro mind you. But it’s really just Fedora with some experimental stuff from one dude (which breaks stuff from time to time). I’ve since installed tumbleweed on my laptop and am much happier with it. Next time something major breaks on the main rig I’m switching that too

Is ChromeOS even that successful? Hasn’t it been merged with Android already? Seems to me nobody wants “snackable” OSs…
The topic is a bit sensationalist tbh. It’s a different matter entirely to track a person directly, which is easily doable with current digital payment standards, or track currency, which only allows to infer some data points about a person. That’s a bit like saying a bike is as fast as a plane just because both get you from point A to point B.
Thank you for being the voice of reason. I keep telling peole that without religion people would wage war about what the best color is. If you want to be a dick you’ll always find a reason
A friend convinced me to pick up RE Village because it suposedly plays more like an FPS than a classical RE horror game. I did beat Dimitrescu recently and I kinda have to disagree with him. There are so many moments that feel very tense because enemies aren’t vulnerable because “magic” so you have to play cat and mouse like in RE 3 with Nemesis. I do like it enough that I’ll keep at it though. Love turning those red rooms blue on the map.
I got the answer in a crosspost I did: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1967099
It was reported as bug but got confirmed as intended behavior. Nothing anyone can do short of editing the system icon theme
Serious question. With inflation absolutely exploding everywhere, stock market being what you just described here, and property ownership being virtually impossible due to big corpos gulping everything up: how is anyone supposed to prevent their money from melting away nowadays?
