People thought the world was actually ending
When I heard about megalopolis I thought Coppola was remaking this movie
Maybe not the actual biggest, but the loss of pirated material that i feel the most sad about is The Trove. The Trove was a website with a huge list of downloadable PDFs of source books for tabletop RPGs. I got the pdfs for everything DND, and also tried a bunch of other games I’d never heard of with a few friends. It also had downloads for other books and documents but I only used it for RPGs. I think it went down in 2019 or so.
I’m 100% in agreeance, making each character’s storyline its own game is the best move, it’ll get more attention than a Bachelor DLC. I was more surprised to learn that the Bachelor’s route wasn’t a dead project! And also very cool that kickstarter people get the game for free.
Damn, and here I thought they were still only 1/3 done with Pathologic 2
I’m sure that’s part of it. I think also the last Fyre festival became such a sensation that people actually did wish they had gone just to be able to say they were there. For people with lots of money and nothing better to do, maybe thats all that matters
Fuck yeah bro. I’m about to break my social media addiction with an even more powerful addiction
In trms of the vibe that the title gives off, I guess. First category is a fairly serious-sounding, usually 1 word title, and the second category seems to be a grab-bag of silly titles and titles where the first word is “______'s”
For me, learning to manage my life in a way that works with my ADHD. For example, if I learn I need to do something, and it’s something I can do now, I get up and do it. If I don’t, I’m likely to forget or put it off too long. Finding ways to build routines, like I suddenly decided I should lick my teeth when getting ready for bed, this makes me realize they are dirty, and I feel forced to brush my teeth before I can sleep. Before that I wasn’t brushing every day. You have to figure out what ADHD prevents you from doing like a normal person, and plan around it.
I don’t medicate right now because I have enough control to be able to function at work and my day to day life without it. But I’ve also had success in the past from either Vyvanse and Strattera (took them at different periods in my life)
Something about boys maturing slower than girls, I’m sure. Jk it’s what you said
Yeah for real, who else would even have access to Ukrainian POWs to kill. Is Ukraine in a secret war against Atlantis?
Specifically, it’s percent of adults who have attempted, not completed. I don’t think anyone in this thread is suggesting it’s the latter, but that was my first thought when I saw the statistic so I thonk it’s an important thing to note.
Also if you believe the stories ive heard from pizza chains like Papa Johns and Domino’s, sawdust is regularly added to pizza dough to make it cheaper to produce
That’s absolutely true. But we can do more about the future than we can the past.
Hey. We got through the last trump presidency. If it happens, we’ll fight like hell to protect the ones who are most vulnerable, and we’ll figure it out. Personally I am still hopeful that it won’t happen. We all need to vote and not get complacent, but this panic is good, electorally speaking. One reason Clinton lost in 2016 was that a lot of people didnt take trump’s chances of winning seriously. Biden’s polling low right now because leftists are mad at him (and rightly so). But as the election starts to ratchet up more and more, we’ll hopefully see people fall in line on at least keeping Trump out of office.
I hate it, personally. I hate that we get government-induced anxiety every election year, just to get people to vote the way they should. All this attention on Trump and Project 2025 is meant to force the undecideds to choose where they stand. If you’ve already decided how you’ll be voting in November, take a break for your own mental health. Last election cycle I made myself crazy listening to political podcasts, checking 538, analysing polling data. I can’t do it this year, so I’m trying not to get too deep into it.
I’m a college professor that uses BB and try to make things as easy to access as possible. The same assignments and information can be found in multiple places in the course, i avoid using the jankiest Blackboard applications, I set things up so that text is visible without having to click through another link, etc. But BlackBoard doesn’t make it easy. We’re switching to Blackboard Ultra this Fall, which I think does have some improvements, especially in the UI department, but I’m doubtful it’ll be much better.
Oh no! Anyway
To be fair, that’s just the culture that’s come up around the game. You have to plan how you play if you want to “win” in the first 2 years, but the only thing you get is a few candles lit in your backyard, and you can still “win” in later years if you play more slowly. You absolutely can just plant some stuff around a sprinkler, sleep until they are grown, and do everything you want to do without being at all efficient with it
Sarah and the Safe Word have some absolute bangers
No, what they’re saying is that their situation can’t get much worse than it already is
