Flying cars would be a nightmare for the FAA. Helicopters are enough for cases where you need to land in a small area where fixed-wing aircraft can’t

264·12 days agoapparently he helped lead the team behind M-series chips and Airpods which are Apple’s few good genuine innovations of the last decade so he seems promising!

1·1 month agoIf you’re in the Apple ecosystem, I’d recommend an Apple TV or an old MacBook just for the Airplay. I’ve tried Roku, TCL built-in Airplay and none of them are stable and constantly disconnect compared to the one’s Apple has. I wish Windows and Android had an equivalent to AirPlay cause the existing solutions like miracast are so trash.

Technology@lemmy.world•Windows 12 release date in 2026 possible, with AI features that may force CPU upgradesEnglish
2·2 months agoAgree, Windows 11 is now harder to use now than Linux distro like Mint. Just to setup, you have to create a Microsoft account and if you want to skip that, then you have to put commands in powershell or use rufus to disable all that.
And don’t get me started on forced restarts for updates, the abysmal S0 modern sleep implementation, and so many more. I have to use gpedit.msc just to fix these issues. I think the only reason why Windows still has such a high market is because of enterprise agreements and that it’s pre-installed on every PC laptop.

3·2 months agoHave you used the latest macOS 26? The UI is terrible and constant bugs and glitches with the new liquid glass look.
Not just Lockheed. RTX, Northrop, Boeing Defense, etc. From my interactions, I’ve found the ppl who willingly work fulltime at those companies either are extremely ignorant or brainwashed into thinking that they are working for the right side.

8·2 months agoI remember playing Zelda I on an emulator. The progression was absolutely brutal since the game doesn’t give any hints on where to go. I don’t know how people back in the day did it without guides and walkthrough vids. Still an amazing game that was really ahead of its time (and I believe the first console game to save!)

3·2 months agoYT search is completely broken. It used to be that the first 3-4 videos were relevant and the rest were YT shorts or stuff you previously watched. Now, not even the first result is related to what I search for. I have to use Google in order to get the video I actually want. Even incognito in YT doesn’t help much nowadays.
