6·4 days agoTrump doesn’t even negotiate in good faith with the US’s allies, it’s even worse for a country like Iran. Why the hell should Iran negotiate with this clown? They’re making the right call here.
c) Ukraine should be given such assurances of protection.
From what I’ve seen, the US and Europe have been content with just throwing money/military equipment at Ukraine to use as a drain on Russia’s resources, but there has been no support beyond that. Even with the billions that Biden pledged to Ukraine, there were a number of key instances where Ukraine asked for permission to use those weapons to strike at critical Russian infrastructure and they were denied. The impression I get is that Ukraine is being used by the west to stick it to a geopolitical rival with no regard for actual peace.
He’ll handle the economy in favor of the rich.
It’s no use, people here are cheering for increased militarization and to fight Russia to the last Ukrainian. Any other approach is labeled as sympathy for Russia.
Looking forward to price hikes far beyond the actual cost to middlemen. The eggification of another good.
9·7 days agoPeople thinking that American politics needs to dominate every single place of conversation is mildly infuriating at least.
I’m excited to see more competition! I also like how RISC-V is based on open source work which reduces startup costs and opens up greater collaboration. We’ve all benefited greatly from open source software, so it would be nice to see more of that on the hardware side as well. I’ll be shocked if the chip actually competes on performance, though it may be more of a cost-for-performance deal like ARM. Speaking of which, I wonder how it’ll compare with ARM server processors as well.

This isn’t extensive, but when looking up products on amazon through camelcamelcamel that existed in 2023 and now, the trend matches up:

They predicted prices would go higher and, through the magic of intentionally constricting supply, it happened. Prices still have not dropped back down to where they were in 2023.
Just wait until they come out with DDR4 SAM.
It’d be a decent deal now, but this launches in 2027, by which point this would be underwhelming.
It’s not mutually exclusive. Laws are wielded as weapons all the time.

This only makes me want to pirate Nintendo games.
