    Yeah man. Those were the good ol’ days, when X was called Twitter lol. Musk was absolutely spreading misinformation when it was still called Twitter also, before he owned it. I remember when he started talking complete rubbish about Dogecoin, making its price oscillate all over the place that whole week. One of his fanboys bought in…like hard. A 30-something year old, and he put his whole life savings into Doge at its peek, only to lose it all the night it was revealed that in 1998, The Undertaker threw Mankind off Hell In A Cell, and plummeted 16 ft through an announcer’s table.

    Jokes aside, how could I implement such a policy?

    The policy you’re looking for is in Computer Configuration->Policies->Windows Settings->Security Settings->Local Policies->User Rights Assignments->Shut down the system

    This policy takes account or group names from your local or domain AD as its variable (like Domain Admins). After it’s successfully applied, only those users or groups will be able to shutdown the machine gracefully.

    Create a new GPO or edit an existing one and apply it to the ADUC organizational unit containing the computer objects you need to target.

    Scotch Guard (PFAS) was released in the 50s and everyone went gangbusters spraying it on everything.

    Plastic based and molded products started to be seen around 1910 and surged in the 50s after WW2.

    Processed foods were a thing since the 1800s with sugars as HFCS added into everything since the 60s.

    Not to discredit what you’re saying, but, and this is solely based within the context of this particular headline discussion, it would cause you to look elsewhere. I’m thinking it’s more stress based. I’m working my butt off to evolve my small business just to survive. While we are having success and growth, it takes no less than 16 hours a day Sunday through Saturday to make it happen. I remember watching some family members and other inspiring business leaders as a kid in the 80s working regular 8 hour days and owning two homes.

    Further to that, psychological medicine is so far behind and mental health has a major, if not direct, effect on physical wellness.

    So did they or didn’t they infringe? The article doesn’t say. I imagine MRT disassembled some drives to examine for infringement.

    It is also possible that these hundreds of employees across the globe working R&D for Western Digital may have developed the same, or nearly the same, technology. But then MRT filed first if they were awarded the patient.

    Given the track record of memory and other computer parts manufactures, I would say it’s more likely that they’re simply lying through their teeth.

    Always cracks me up to see people who champion open source alternatives hate on communism.

    This isn’t about “drawing comparisons” this is about how you don’t understand why someone would champion open source software and hate on communism…because of course people hate on fucking communism, you dope.

    It’s proven time and time again that communist governments bring suffering to their people. Like, some fucked up shit. Like starvation, inequality, and lack of basic human rights.

    Whereas open source software can be educational, build cost effective solutions for people and businesses, and empower people’s lives.

    You see the difference?

    You shouldn’t feel that way, because communism has absolutely nothing to do with open source software.

    Communism is a political ideology.

    Open source software is a licensing technique for creators and developers. Mostly so that no one has to worry about getting sued if they want to implement or modify said software. You think a communist government would even allow the use of open source software over government issued/approved software?

    Yeah, but you’re also wrong about the gun rights. They’re trying to enact sensible laws, not strip gun rights.

    The most [egregious] recent example is the legality of arm braces.

    It’s not egregious, that’s called a sensible conversation.

    Why do gun fanatics need these types of guns anyway? What are you hunting, dragons? It’s so cringe to me when gun enthusiasts get all upset about responsible gun laws - they just want to shoot everything and anything with the most firepower they can acquire. God forbid they have to earn the right to own such a weapon.
