The difference between a Christian and an atheist is that there’s just one additional god the Christian believes in that the atheist doesn’t.

Or that time he asked for spicy mustard on his burger?
It depends on the usage.
If the user is reading the response and then thinking about it and adapting the suggestions to their own style of speaking, maybe they’ll learn something over time. Studies have shown that students who use LLMs as a tutor do improve their understanding of material.
If they’re copy/pasting like most of the world, then there’s evidence to suggest that they’ll actually get worse at the thing they’re offloading to the LLM.

If it’s a fine dining establishment, I wouldn’t dream of asking for modifications (outside of allergens or religious restrictions). The chef has carefully constructed a specific experience, and I’m going to that restaurant because that chef is good at their job.
If I’m getting a burger or a salad at a mid-level casual restaurant, I’m definitely asking to leave out the ingredients that I don’t like.
If Joann is feeding me for free, again, I’m not making any special requests unless I have allergies or religious restrictions. If I know I don’t like Joann’s cooking, then I am “unfortunately otherwise engaged” when she invites me for lunch … or I simply skip her contribution at the family potluck.

Steak sauce is one of my favorite condiments for fries.

I had a professor in undergrad who was from Arkansas. He told the story of how he moved north (to Missouri) and was shocked when he was served “cornbread” that he classified as “cake.”
That was when I learned that the sweetness of cornbread is a regional difference. I spent most of my life in the Ohio River valley (“south” to northerners and “north” to southerners), so I like and recognize both types.

Typically, one expects a “bar” to have beer and liquor and the ability to make at least basic mixed drinks (rum and Coke, gin and tonic, etc.).
A “beer bar” usually has a wider variety of beers on draft and no liquor or mixed drinks.

If he’s assassinated, they’ll try to canonize him like they did with Charlie Kirk.
Rotting in prison is the greater humiliation for a narcissist.
And as it is such, so also as such is it unto you.

Culture war is basically the only thing left that the Republican base approves of. He’s trying to play to his party’s “strengths.”
That’s what we call him in our house, too.
Or “poor man’s Henry Cavill” if we’re feeling particularly saucy.

This is the real bottom line. MAGA seems to think that Russia is on their team.

Hello, fellow A/G kid. My church didn’t have shofars – that actually sounds a lot cooler than just announcing that the spirit is moving.
I think you’re right about evangelical support for Israel. They think they’re hastening the End Times.
I’m so glad I got out of that entire scene. The rest of my youth group cohort are still faithful members, decades later.

Thank you, Stannis.

Did you read the SacBee article? It’s not explicitly an interview with her child, but the reporter obviously quoted them extensively.
Lower-case apocrypha are extra-canonical religious writings, which cover a wide range of ancient texts in Christianity.
“The Apocrypha” is applied to a specific set of books that are accepted in various configurations by the Catholic, Orthodox and Eastern churches but are rejected from the Biblical canon by many Protestant denominations. Those are the ones you can find between the Old and New Testaments in some Bibles.
It’s not at all confusing.

And, ideally, when the City of Fargo has to eat the cost (because the contract with the tech company likely specifies that a facial recognition match is not sufficient grounds for arrest), it and every other municipality using similar tech will change its policing practices.
But probably the city will just quietly take responsibility for the damages after a session of contractually required private mediation, and nobody will learn a lesson.

Even just a couple of commas would help.
Grandmother, jailed for six months after facial recognition mistake, launches $10 million lawsuit against Fargo and detective

Because with AI, no bad can happen, it can only good happen.
We thought we had found the bottom of the political barrel back in those days.
We were wrong.
