The browser wars have been kind of strange from the perspective of someone who’s been using Firefox for well over a decade. It’s a bit like hearing about the Civil War while living in Oregon.

I’m guessing it’s to eliminate the issue of a site not getting clicks because the article you were about to read is already summarized for you. It also opens the door for revenue negotiations for allowing their content to be scraped for that purpose, as the scraper bots would now be identified.

The voter apathy is understandable. Look at Virginia’s redistricting. All that effort to get it passed and the Supreme Court of the state tosses it out on a dumb technicality.

It’s a cut and dry example of people going out to vote and their vote meaning nothing.

You can literally kill a guy in another state, get acquitted, then go on a MAGA convention tour signing guns and other crap to make a living, but if you contradict Trump on one thing they’ll kick you out and start transvestigating you immediately.

You’re right if we’re talking about the entire population of Earth. With these local models though, other people have already done all the hard stuff. Anyone with an RTX card and just a minimum level of patience can get going.

I can’t blame them for catering for their largest, sustained fanbase.
