Yep. When I switched out my Nvidia for AMD it was as plug-and-play as it gets.

Most anime have .ASS subtitles and are kinda complex sometimes with singsong related subtitles, but never had any issues on android with them.

Good fansubs can sometimes do really crazy things, including replacing entire moving backgrounds.

For some content DirectPlay is just not possible, as much as I’d love it to be.

More complex stylized subtitles will absolutely trash almost any Android device unless transcoded.

I think there’s kind of a 3rd choice, WebKit.

That’s where Chromium came from originally, so not really 3rd.

It’s not even about the lower specs, it’s the optimization in general.

My PC is a little old, but still fine for most games up to medium settings.
But when I tried FF XVI, which is mentioned in the article, I couldn’t get anything close to acceptable performance with everything turned as low as possible and looking like shit.

Yeah, gotta have that and all that Secure Boot with TPM bullshit, because I’m visualizing a company workstation and nothing will work without those.

I got the disc version for used games too, but the sad truth is that where I live there isn’t really a market for used games.

Or, well, there is, but the prices on used discs are often barely below retail price, if you can even find a copy.
