In the new Lemmy version all images are black placeholders and I need to tap the placeholder image to load the real image. Is there a setting to load images so I can see them as I scroll through content?

Edit_01: I should have mentioned that I use Jerboa. The issue seemed to be the low bandwith mode as others have mentioned. Thanks

Test image - uploaded in Sync:

Visible immediately in Sync, and on mobile browser (FF Nightly for Android).

Anyone having any issues with this pic?

Not sure what you mean by “new Lemmy version”, but images work fine, including on lemmy.world.

The issue probably is with your 3rd party app. Go find the support community for the specific app you’re using.

    Jerboa? Do this:

Its because you have data savings mode turned on on your phone.

If you want to force jerboa to ignore that, then go into the jerboa settings and click Low bandwidth mode > always off.
