I looked into fluxer and it doesn’t appear to be federated, meaning you would have to have an “official” fluxer account to interact with the majority of the communities.
Fluxer is sitting RIGHT there looking at you like yer blind. Stoat literally will never go anywhere. Its made zero fucking progress basically since day 1 is ran by idiots and smalls like a scam from a mile away.
The fact anyone has even remotely considered stoat is honestly concerning.

Fluxer seems to be the best candidate alternative. Currently AGPL, with plans to provide self-hosting, federation, and E2EE.
Try Cinny or Sable (slightly buggier fork of Cinny with more features.) They’re Matrix clients that look close enough to discord.
