I’ve never been able to do it.

When I’m relaxed, I’m hardly aware of my surroundings and when I’m alert, I’m nervous as hell.

How the hell do people keep their composure in difficult situations and still get through them alright?

I’m generally not confident and have a lot of unusual anxiety compared to peers. However, when I’m asked to troubleshoot something computer related in front of 100 people in an auditorium filled with c suite level VIPs, I tend to control myself while focusing on the task at hand.

I attribute this to having done the same thing thousands of times. It’s still stressful, but I know it’s going to work out due to repetition. And if it doesn’t? It was well and truly fucked.
