I swear I’ve tried like 5 times to delete Reddit for good, but I always and up going back after a couple of months because I miss the webms, gifs, and story posts.

I know that Lemmy seems to have some character restriction that prevents super long story posts (which I think they’ve increased the limit a bit?) and I can scratch the itch with creepy pasta, manga, or SCP archives, but why does Lemmy have such a prominent lack of gifs and webms?

All of the gif-centric communities are dead and I know that there’s no restriction to that type of content, so am I just missing something? If you’re not seeing it here, then where do you guys watch gifs and webms?

    I just search for them or make them. There are no specific sites I go to.

    As for search engines, Qwant, Kagi, DuckDuckGo, and even Bing are all ones I regularly use. Google is garbage these days.

    If you’re talking about a forum just for gifs, why not make one here?
