Everyone looks at me funny when I tell them that I’m not traveling to other countries anymore because I don’t know if the president is going to do some stupid shit while I’m away and I won’t be able to get home and this is like the third stupid thing he’s done that would cause people to be stranded in another country in the 1.3 years of this term. (Not that I want to come back anyway, but I’d like to be able to move my dogs if I’m going to be living in another country.)

This is my dream. Get stranded somewhere in the UK. Contribute to a society that isn’t completely soul sucking.

Isn’t UK like the second worst option in the so-called western world?
I mean better than the US, but try and get stuck anywhere else in western Europe and you’ll probably be better off
The UK seems like the little brother who idolizes their big brother (the US) and wants to copy everything they do.
UK is USA’s twin in almost every sense. The only difference is that UK isn’t led by a far right, but it is on the verge of happening.
