I remember being 10 when 9/11 happened. While the events themselves were awful the 24 hour news cycle for like 2-3 months afterward was even worse.

News organizations sensationalized even tiny shit to capture more viewership. Then all the policy changes from the govt ruined the nation’s bit of prosperity for any non-millionaire (or beyond).

I felt like I lost my childhood innocence after seeing how we reacted as a nation and decided to bomb a country because of the actions of one group. Fuck anyone involved in those decisions.
