Okay so I’m just gonna chill naked as a man and if any women who happen to be present feel uncomfortable then I’ll politely inform them that a naked body is not inherently a sexual object and that they have toxic attitudes around nudity and a lot of weird hangups that they love to project onto others…

      We’ll see how that goes…

There’s a double standard here. So it’s okay to make the people around you uncomfortable by being nude/topless, but not okay for them to make you uncomfortable staring?

I think we can say with confidence that the OP is not doing this just because it was a bit warm. If that were the case, they wouldn’t be posting about it like this.

Social norms are what they are. If you want to break them, it’s better to do it where everybody’s on the same page. It’s also better not to be enjoying making people uncomfortable, as in the situation described here. That’s immature and selfish.

I think you have good points but it doesn’t fit with current social norms in most places. People respond like this because we don’t usually see people’s junk. Breaking this norm sends people’s minds right to sex because that’s when you usually see other people naked.

a naked body is not inherently a sexual object

Genuine question: what about a dick/vagina? Likewise it is natural and has other functions too. But it is an inherently sexual object, right?

If so, then I think it’s clear why people see naked bodies (literally, the stuff we see all the time + visible dick/vagina + nipples) as inherently sexual. Nudity is fine in theory, but you don’t get one without the other.

I would argue my dick is used the vast majority of time, in a nonsexual manner. It just kind of chills most the time, of course it’s still used for sex, but that’s a very small percentage of the time it exists.

Should everyone wear masks because their mouths are used for sexual stuff? Yeah, that is taking it to the extreme, but most people take nudity to the extreme as well.

No doubt. If we’re talking % of time then basically nothing is sexual.

But primarily it is a sexual organ. That is why we have them. I think that’s the difference when it comes to your mouth example. Or hands as well. It’s a little silly to take it to that extreme.

But certainly people overreact about nudity
