    Dang, everyone is so much nicer in the Fediverse. Now I feel like an asshole for poking fun at you a little bit. My bad. What error are you getting on boot BTW?

      Nah it’s fine. Basically grub can see the SSD where the kernel lies and boot the kernel, then the kernel can’t see the drive its on anymore

        The first thing I would try is booting from a live USB, mounting the old install, regenerating inframfs then update GRUB from terminal (it may or may not let you from terminal in the GRUB menu also)
