Playing a nicer looking or sounding character is often nicer. Some games have different events for different choices, so I’ll probably play both at some point (e.g. Mass Effect, Fallout). In some games it makes no difference at all since your character looks like dried meat, a suit of armor, or isn’t on screen at all (Soulsbornes, FPS, RTS etc). And some games have fixed characters (e.g. Assassin’s Creed, Horizon, Metal Gear). It’s all good.
