President Donald Trump’s recent clawback of nearly 3 million acres of protected land in Utah represents the largest removal of land from federal monument status in American history, an Emancipator investigation found. It is more than five times the amount of land all previous presidents combined had removed from monument status.
I mean, to be fair: it’s 920 pages. Sure, these days, you might be able to throw it into an AI and have it summarize for you, but if we had a media that took seriously the notion of being “the fourth estate”, they would have moved heaven and Earth to inform virtually everyone about it, and they would have done the summary, all in the run-up to the election.
