Then add another layer of construction material, you don’t have to have exposed brick if you don’t like the color of bricks.

Yeah, quite literally, just use a different material if you want to paint. Already have brick but want a different color? Then add another layer of construction material, you don’t have to have exposed brick if you don’t like the color of bricks.
