I enjoy cleaning the gross hair and gunk out from the shower drain, especially after I’ve moved into a new place. I am easily grossed out, so I find it stomach turning, but it feels so cathartic. I recently spent a year crashing in a friend’s spare room, and I found myself weirdly satisfied that, being a household of 3, the shower drain would need cleaning much more often than when I lived alone. The fact that it’s a gross chore that’s rarely thought about until it starts getting quite bad means that I liked being able to handle this chore. Who else would be weird enough to enjoy the task, even as they’re trying not to puke?
