Posting another “fried rice” as is again!

Shanghai Veggie Rice 上海菜饭, only salt and white pepper as seasoning. Not even scallions this time! (This is the traditional way of doing it. Look it up, I dare you)

This time, it’s even a little mushy!

So enjoy this on your feed! I’ll be prepping another one next week!

You sound salty about rice that looks pretty mediocre. I’m not shitting on enjoying mediocre food that only tastes marginally like the name you’re claiming it is (I cook worse meals pretty regularly that I enjoy), but I’m not really sure what you expected posting it online. You want your online parents to say they’re proud of you?

Outside of the rice discussion: I think it’s important to post “something” if you care about the health of the platform itself. Rather than complaining about the lack of activity outside of tech and gaming, it’s more effective to post something yourself. My total number of posts on Reddit since 2018 is 1, but I’m trying to keep myself to at least one post per week here just for the sake of it.

As for people being hostile on the Internet, sure that’s expected, but that doesn’t mean I can’t be bored out of my mind to respond. I just have a grudge against people who frame everything as “constructive criticism” that aren’t being constructive at all. Especially if they themselves aren’t willing to step their foot in the game either.
