I know it would never happen, but imagine a society where everyone is treated as genderless until say 16 and then you get to choose and announce your gender and its like a whole ceremony. Like the gender reveals people do for babies but actually cool
but also having it as being at an age would problematically pressure people to pick by then, so lets have it not at any fixed age but just when the person wants
