Says the one who doesn’t eat at all 😭

I’m tempted to try this. Especially because 68kg is literally my weight. I could gain a couple of kilos…

oh i heard about a surgery for narrower shoulders. its called clavicle shortening. theres a limit to what they can do, i forget how much, but its cool that its possible. not sure id get that one personally.

ive thought about getting the ribcage remodeling but neither method seems great to me, either the rib removal (potentially serious breathing issues) or the breaking method (requires a corset for months and might just go back to normal after). maybe after another year or two of hormones to see what i get.

I’m still considering ribs. I mean…I know I’m supposed to try and accept myself the way I am, but sometimes I just look in the mirror, see my bone structure and think: “God, if it weren’t for T puberty…I could have been really pretty.”

And it hurts. Not as much as before, it’s not the crushing existential dread that it used to be, but it’s still a shame.

oh right! i was considering the ribs one for a while as well. my lower few ribs all sort of stick outwards in a way which makes it look like i have a beer belly (despite being really skinny), and frankly they protrude further out than i’m expecting my boobs to grow from HRT. never really noticed or cared before starting to transition, then realized that it makes it rather impossible to wear any non-baggy top without showing off the lower half of my rib cage, and definitely considered getting the rib-breaking surgery for a while. since then i realized that this is almost certainly a symptom of my scoliosis, so i would’ve had this issue no matter which way my body developed, and now i’ve more or less come to terms with it (although finding shirts with a fem cut that don’t look silly is still a bit harder than it would be if my back weren’t all crooked! :P).

(also, having to wear a corset 24/7 for months would probably make my back muscles even weaker than they already are, and there’s a good chance it’d make the scoliosis worse…)

I’m pretty sure the last time I looked that surgery up the complication rate was huge and it’s only like a centimeter or so they can do at most

You’re right. It’s definitely not one of the super-safe surgeries. The shoulders would probably be locked into a “forward” stance forever and it might have an effect on mobility…

I’m pretty sure they do a couple of inches on each side tho…so not a lot, but a noticeable difference.

If after years of HRT my hips don’t balance out my broad shoulders, I’m probably getting it.

sadly exercise alone wont give me the snatched waist of my dreams. abs/flat tummy are made in the kitchen :/ which means controlling my diet and a caloric restriction.

      sigh
I guess I’ll start eating two avocados a day then, again. What can you do? 😆

I’m gonna be so fat soon, omg I barely even move 😭
But…if at least some of it goes to the right places…it’ll be worth it.

We’ve maybe gone from ~105lb/47kg to ~115lb/52kg (haven’t weighed ourselves in a while) and have been quite happy with gaining a noticeable amount around the waist, a tiny tiny bit in the chest but nothing that would stand out over anything but a tight top. All-in-all, food good and every bit of fat helps in our case! - Phoebe (it/its)

    Lobster too buttery

Like that’s not what you were hoping for but that’s still a win in my book

I’ve been playing this game where I lose a bunch of weight before I start HRT then put it all back on and this time its in cooler places. I started HRT last week but I forgot to end the diet. Oh well.
