    I think that’s what bums me out about no longer visiting the US: the amazing food found in the most unremarkable places.

    A bbq burger joint in a carpark off a freeway. A random mexican place next to a laundromat. Hell even your mcdonalds tastes better

    And it’s just… off limits to me for the foreseeable future

      Because of the HFC they load everything with “over there”, which isn’t allowed in a lot of other countries.

      Also, amazing mind-blowing food in unremarkable places is available everywhere in the world, that is not a US-specific thing.

        Yes, but every culture has its own palette they’ve adapted to. And the American taste of food is just delicious. You’ll feel your arteries clog up but damn is it delicious! It’s good I don’t live there, I would never cook again.
