Probably fake. Only found 2 links back to some sort of original post, one to x and one to Facebook and both had some bs story to go with it. I did find a 10 second clip on YouTube to some bullshit music and some motion, but idk.
I mean, who leaves their tent open in the Antarctic?

Not saying it’s real, but… Someone who wants to take a photo like this? In the summer (which it would be since it’s light out) it’s not thaaat cold near the coast. Maybe -10 C, but probably more like +5 these days, sometimes much warmer. Additionally, for a single-walled tent, ventilation is extremely important or else moisture build up will condense on the tent and get you wet, which you really don’t want when it’s cold.
If that’s a real photo, I have to know more about it!

You are probably right, but just as a fun fact; Penguins exist far outside Antarctica:
But Australia would be even worse!
Have you seen Australians?
Those look like emperor penguins, though, which are actually endemic to Antarctica.
I guess that proves the fakeness then though because emperor penguins usually stand around 4 feet in height.
Huh, I didn’t know that. Thanks!
There is a great show about penguins in south africa, called Penguin Town. Highly recommend!
Thanks! Gonna watch it https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Penguin_Town
