Nah, even if it was an accident he:

handled a gun after drinking

violated multiple fundamental rules of gun safety

don’t point at anything you aren’t willing to destroy

finger off the trigger until intending to shoot

That’s bare minimum reckless endangerment and manslaughter.

Anyone who would do a single one of these things, let alone all of them, isn’t responsible enough to own firearms.
