Until and unless they face a mass revolt from their customer base - they will continue to introduce more and more anti-consumer practices.

However, given the general apathy regarding Sony’s decision to discontinue physical media - I don’t have much faith in GamersTM to rally in their own long-term interests.

They seem to use eachother in a stepping-stone or leapfrog or something tactic.

One does something shitty, the other goes “lmao we would never” then a year or two later they’re both doing it saying “well its just normal”

It won’t be a revolution, it will be a mass exodus…as many of us have foreseen long ago.

Yeah I’m just going to a different hobby. I don’t need to take up arms and fight against Microslop, I’ll just read my ereader with my drm free epubs.

Yes KOReader, thank you. Kindle is (was) super easy to jailbreak, and I did it specifically for that program. I used to hate the default program. Hardly any customizations and ran horribly.

I have a Kobo Clara 2E with me and use KOReader on it as well. I have an Xteink X4 Pro and an X3 coming. Planning to flash Crosspoint, a community firmware, the second I get it in my hands. Should be a nice setup hopefully.

I hadn’t heard of crosspoint. Looking at development, it seems like they add a lot every month. I like that. Amazing what a group of determined users can do to improve upon a thing companies should’ve done in the first place…
