The robotaxis are just regular consumer model Ys. They have 5 seats. They’re literally exactly the same as every other model Y on the road. They just have a dumb “Robotaxi” paint scheme in the cybertruck font on them.
They’ve been operating those for about a year and have about 10x as many of those as the new cybercabs.
I was just in Austin where there are a million of them. Like every 10th car on the road was either a Robotaxi or a Waymo. I rode in them.
They’ve explicitly stated their plans. The two seater cybercabs, regular model Ys, and an autonomous 20 passenger van.
